Confused...

In my life so blue,
I met someone true,
He was my friend
but what would he turn out to be
I had no clue...


He told me, "I love you."
I thought he was joking
It was true he said
My heart skipped a beat and
I started choking...


Is it love,
Or just a dream?
Is he someone alien,
Or just another being?


Does he really love me.
Or just care?
Should I go for it?
Or should not dare...


Men are dogs
Of that I'm sure
Will this wound
ever be cured?


Should I trust him?
Or that would be a mistake...
Is he trustworthy?
Or someone masked and fake...


Somewhere I believed he was true
My heart nodded and said,
"Yes, he is so much for you."


Still a 'lil confusion,
Still a 'lil fear,
But he said,
"Don't worry, dear, I'll always be near..."


I felt like crying;
But I had to hold back...
Not melt by those words...
Which were once said but now dead!


Life gives you so many chances,
So why not give it one,
Mistakes happen and rectified,
And now I feel, "Yes, he is the one!"
